Those of you who read me, know that I have welshed on my promise to post why I love Mississippi comments each Thursday. Well, the second anniversary of September 11 hit me pretty hard yesterday. Our regular Law Dawgz-Plus meeting was a little forced.
But here's a thought: what I love about Mississippi is that the tragedies of September 11, 2001 could not have happened in Mississippi. Say what you will about this state; poor literacy, weak graduation rates, tense racial politics, and economic failure abound. But your average Mississippian, black, white, Cuban, or Asian, takes no shit from anybody. The people are polite to a fault, but beware the righteous wrath of still waters stirred.
Also, there's not a building worth running a plane into, but that's another matter, and far too glib for the seriousness of the question. But I know every man Jack of you was thinking it.
